Description:
On September 13, 1944, a large, unknown airplane is crashing near to Koniówka in southern Poland. The ten crew members save themselves by using their parachutes, but some of them--all Americans--are soon captured by the Germans who approached the crash site; the others find themselves among people willing to hide them and help them escape the Nazi Germans. The local residents are also here and the event which, during the following few months, would be widely discussed, would ultimately then be forgotten for more than half a century. Tacit collusion and lack of interest in the crash of the American bomber, a B-17, became the subject which finally raised public attention in the beginning of the new millennium.
