At Swan Decapitation

A collection of anti-poetry.Note from the Editor: As the editor of this most grandiloquently entitled work, At Swan Decapitation, I find myself rushing frantically to defend it from potential criticism, and criticized it will be for what are we to make of "poetry" (a suspect word really, when you consider all whats become of literature in the West over the last 150 years) without words, or with very few words in any case? The fact is, though, that Swan says much more with just a smattering of the English language than most if not all of its verbose and inane contemporaries...this is the magic of Swan, it speaks clearly in its representational depiction of communication without words. I will not risk being so ridiculous as to suggest that this book will change human consciousness, but it might hurt you. It may cause the reader great pain to face the outer energy of this collection or what Pound called Vorticism, and it becomes quite obvious that a new Vorticism is what is being born in this book. So reader, sweet reader, be foreworn, this book that you are now holding in your hands may cause paralysis, apoplexy, stroke, heart attack, craziness, suffocation, vertigo, even blindness...all as it should be, for no great work of art comes without a price to both reader and author.
