Homeless by God's Design

So why this book? Looking back we believe that God wanted a book written to prepare America for what is coming on its shores. We drove a nice conversion van, were educated, self-employed, our children well behaved...yet, we became part of the NEW HOMELESS...and 'the church' did not know what to do about us! God used this adventure to take us to new levels in faith and trust in Him that included intense spiritual warfare along with an intimate understanding of the plights facing families that may one day find themselves homeless. The trip gave us the opportunity for training, not through books or classroom learning, but a real life spiritual training ground. This book contains a message that God has laid on our hearts concerning our family's three-year symbolic adventure. Accompany my family and me-my lovely wife, Janie; Kellie, our daughter with disabilities; Chris, our oldest son; Kevin, our middle son; Courtney, our younger daughter; and Caleb, our youngest son-as we set out from the Mississippi Gulf Coast by faith and with only $500 to our name. As we embarked upon our journey my heavenly Father intimated to me the following words, "You now belong to Me, and I will take care of you." These were comforting words, and ones I found to be truthful, but our LORD's methods of taking care of us were far different than anything I could have imagined.
