The poems in this collection include pastoral lyrics, narrative accounts of rural and urban odysseys, mystical meditations on loss and the passage of time, and philosophical inquiries into the nature of experience and how experience shapes who we are and who we will become. Peter Bethanis was raised in rural Maine and earned his MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He has won the Eve of St. Agnes Poetry Prize and has been a finalist in the National Poetry Series, and he has been a featured poet on Poetry Magazine's web-site. He is the co-author of Dada and Surrealism for Beginners, and currently teaches at Ball State University.
