I Love to Tell the Story

The Reverend J. Harold McKeithen Jr. was a Presbyterian minister for 60 years prior to his death in 2019. Of all the responsibilities of pastors McKeithen most enjoyed preaching and built a reputation on telling the story of Jesus Christ to all his churches, including Albemarle Presbyterian Church in Albemarle, N.C., Hidenwood Presbyterian Church in Newport News, Va. and Williamsburg Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, Va. “I love to Tell the Story” is a compilation of sermons from the churches he served through his ministry. McKeithen’s own strong personal faith is evidenced in his preaching. He said in one sermon, “What I most want to say and most want you to believe is that there is a creator God who loves the world. God loves us so much, in fact, that he gave us his only son. God reached us by coming into our midst in the person of Jesus of Nazareth. Faith is central. Whoever believes in God may not die but have eternal life.”
