Winterheart

Winterheart is a mythological story that relates two journeys at the same time: that of the hero against natural adversity and that of the hero against himself. The setting of the first story, in the extreme south of South America, exacerbates the contrast between man and nature. The mysterious urban setting of the story told in parallel explores the contrast between nature and civilization. In that contrast, disoriented characters search without seeing, bombarded by the time that dilutes their lives as they discover nothing. +++++++ Amid the noises of the crazy lives we lead -noises that deafen our ears no less than our hearts -Vergara reminds us that, regardless of age and circumstances, the spark of life is lit in the heart. Working in economic journalism, Vergara rediscovered his fondness for the written word. He has published a book of poems and this is his first novel.
