When a hansom cab driver discovers a dead body in his cab, it prompts Bertie and Arnold to hunt for the killer, pitting their wits against the ambitious Sergeant Ryder. Bertie takes the family to see the "Noble Savage " (a real live American Indian) on display in Gravesend, Kent. Little does Bertie realize the impact that this will have on his investigations.
