Reflections

Reflections is a supernatural story that takes place in an alternate reality that is relatively parallel to our own. It is told through the eyes of Kris F. Gemini. He is a nineteen-year-old teenager of light-brown complexion. He is a troubled young man, A man whose mind is filled with dissolving negativity for the world around him. He feels shunned. He feels depressed and betrayed. He is at odds with himself. Things he has experienced and is experiencing have put his mind into a state of turmoil. His state of mind has turned him into a lonely, withdrawn soul with few friends. All of this begins to change when a twenty-one thousand year old female demon visits him in his dreams and merges her essence with his. While he provides her with a home and energy, within his body, she provides him with the means of turning into something that physically represents his negative feelings. With this ability, Kris becomes a brutal killer whom takes his newly released freedom out on a shady organization that has recently threatened his life. Over the course of his story, Kris slowly comes to several startling revelations about himself and those he deems his enemies. What is good? What is evil? These questions and many other situations are presented to Kris and to you, the reader. It is up to you how you will interpret them. Make no mistake: There is no "save the world" or "save the city from destruction" plot here. No new heroes are born to make the world a better place. This is a personal battle. A battle that will be fought on three fronts. One is in Kris' mind as he tries to come to terms with himself. The next is fought among Detroit's underworld element. The last is for you to discover. These are not the only things that Kris has to worry about. His symbiotic relationship with the female demon begins to turn into much more as they develop feelings for one another. This does not go over well with the female demon's father. The mere thought of his daughter merging with a human is more than he can stand. He sets his mind to leaving his world and enter Kris' to take his daughter back by force. Interaction between a demon and a human just simply, cannot be tolerated. or can it?
