In Brian Shaughnessy's second novel in his UNDER series, the detectives from his first book, MAN UNDER, are now members of the Major Case Squad, and are faced with the unlikely prospect of having the ghost of an NYFD hero of 9/11 for a murder suspect. Members of a city disciplinary board who would have relieved firefighter Tommy Bowen of his job and pension had he not been killed saving lives at the twin towers on 9/11, are being systematically murdered. And a witness has identified the murderer from a picture of Bowen.
