Kauai [Kaua'i]: A Photographic Portfolio

Synopsis: Photographer Steve Alterman has teamed up with Scott Hanft, a photographer from Kauai, Hawaii, to produce a breathtakingly beautiful collection of images, ranging from delicate native flowers to stunning landscapes and seascapes. About the Author: Steve Alterman is a nature photographer specializing in images of North Carolina's Outer Banks, the American West, and the Hawaiian Islands. His photo contest entries have earned him either first place or grand prize recognition in Hawaii Magazine's photo contests in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003, and his poster of the interior of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse was chosen for display in Washington, DC's Corcoran Gallery of Art. After being graduated from Cal Arts, award-winning professional photographer Scott Hanft moved to Kauai, Hawaii, where living near the ocean became a constant source of inspiration. His experiences working as a boat captain for Napali Eco Adventures provided ample photo opportunities and helped to develop his love for the ocean and an ambition to have a part in inspiring conservation by documenting its beauty and power.
