EnvironMentalities: Twenty-Two Approaches to Eco-Art is the third book in the series Avant-Guardians: Textlets in Art and Ecology. As in her previous books, author Linda Weintraub introduces innovative and accessible analysis of vanguard art practices. In this instance she has produced a series of three college textbooks that explore the dynamic intersections between environmentalism and contemporary art. The twenty-two approaches are categorized as archetypes, designers, philosophers, activators, and dramatizers. Each category is represented by chapter-long essays on individual artists. The book organizes and defines the numerous divergent approaches to protecting and healing the planet.
