Strong Feather

Strong Feather is a story about a young American Indian boy, Jimmy Warrior, and the problems he first encounters in a Newark, New Jersey jail. A kind policeman, Officer Bob Brown, does Jimmy a favor and good things begin to happen in his life. In addition to becoming very attached to a hawk, Jimmy makes new friends in Colorado, and is briefly reunited with his father. They have something in common which draws them together even closer.
