When Elizabeth Ann Kelly, an Episcopalian priest, is violently confronted by a stranger on the street, she has no inkling that she will soon meet her assailant, businesswoman Nicole Isabel Thera, under very different circumstances. Nicole holds a unique philosophy of life, a far cry from Beth’s devout Christian beliefs. In spite of this and their tempestuous beginnings, the women are drawn to one another. Each has a dark history to surmount as they travel on their respective journeys, braving trials that will test them both and cast their relationship into the crucible.
