This book, assembled after the death of the poet's mother at the age of 95, focuses on his relationship with both parents, and in particular on their last years. The book is instilled with the poet's love for his mother, which came easily and continually, and for his father, with whom a bond developed ever more strongly in the years leading to the elder McQuilkin's death of Alzheimer's Disease in 1992.
