90 Years on Hawthorne: A History of Hawthorne Lane United Methodist Church

Founded in 1915, Hawthorne Lane Methodist Episcopal Church, South, quickly grew to become one of Charlotte's largest and most prominent congregations. Today, as Hawthorne Lane United Methodist Church, it faces new challenges in a world of rapidly changing realities. Still, it continues to serve its members, its community and the world with pride in its past and determination for the future.
