MaxBeker and Fania Durmashkin were accomplished musicians in pre-WWII Lithuania. When the Holocaust destroyed their families and came close to destroying them as well, music was their passport to survival and transcendence. From the Vilna Ghetto to the St. Ottilien DP Camp and ultimately to America, this is their story.
