Letter From The Author: The Pre-employable Skills Network, Inc., is designed to re-establish and improve the lives of our children, the homeless, welfare recipients, and the general population. Whether employed, changing careers, or unemployed due to economic reasons, you need this book. The program shows you how to apply for jobs; promotes self-esteem, and helps develop a sense of pride. There is information on the market today regarding job search skills. My goal in writing this book is not to overwhelm you with too much information, but to give you the most pertinent information in simple and easy terms. Interviewing techniques, how to develop a winning resume, and how to find the hidden job market are discussed in this book. This book and The Pre-employable Skills Program will give people, young and old, the skills needed to find employment. We, as a nation, can create thousands of jobs for the unemployed. However, if we do not teach our children pre-employable skills, endless job opportunities will not help to lower the unemployment rate. If we plan to keep people off welfare, then we must teach these skills. There are still people who are trying to adjust to the inability of knowing how to become candidates for employment. This country has thousands of homeless people. If we do not teach them pre-employable skills, we will continue to have a homeless population. My point is, if you do not know how to approach an employer for a job, your chances of getting the job are less than that of someone who has the skills. This book is dedicated to all people who need pre-employable skills. The Pre-employable Skills Program can be utilized throughout the United States and internationally.
