Now they say that there are mercenaries hired by American corporations to protect them from the Iraqi insurgency, making us feel like we are faceless soldiers with no secure identity in this war. The Mercs are making top dollar, hired by rich oil executives, and we are getting paid not even a third of what they're getting, and we are doing the same thing-sealing the fact that this war is about oil. We have no face over here except a negative one. Pg. 136 This modern army we are supposed to have nowadays is still being penetrated by people using old and remote tactics. They are using homemade bombs, old grenades, outdated guns, and car bombs to attack us with. This is a far cry from Weapons of Mass Destruction. Yet they are still determined to defeat us with their inferior weaponry. Just like Bin Laden, when he attacked us, he didn't use WMDs; he used our own airplanes and box cutters against us. But now, our excuse is that they may get WMDs, and Saddam had the capability to make WMDs. All I have to say about that is that they don't need WMDs; they are doing a good job using guerrilla tactics with outdated military hardware. Pg. 138
