Spanning the Strait: Building the Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge

"Spanning the Strait" combines an oral history of Al Zampa with a photographic record of the new suspension bridge to be named in his honor. The Alfred Zampa Memorial Bridge is the first suspension span to be built in America in 30 years and it is, to my knowledge, the first major structure to be named in honor of an iron worker, a union member or a working person of any kind.
