Mountain Devotional

From Candy: Upon arriving in Lake City, my husband, our daughter Kelly and grandson Koty spent many hours hiking various trails, especially the trails on Round Top. As we would make our treks something would happen, like stepping on a loose rock, or grabbing a dead tree to keep from falling. Various incidents would make me think of lessons to be learned. God speaks to us in so many ways, if we open the eyes and ears of our heart. These few devotions are some of the insights God has shown me. My prayer is that these thoughts will bless and challenge. From Julie: Candy and I are both very much alike and very different so this volume will be much better written by the two of us than if it was either of us alone. This devotional was written by laypeople with the hope that it appeals to everyone who loves nature, the mountains, Lake City in particular, loves God and want to think more about God somewhat gently each day and who ponder the eternal question: what is the purpose of life. The book is organized by topics on the fruit of the Spirit. Even if the Holy Spirit is not a consideration for the reader the gifts are! But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
