In the fall of 2002, author Christina Wilkinson personally visited each of Ohio counties to interview both current and former owners of the eighty-eight barns chosen to help the state celebrate it's Bicentennial.

Combining her interviews with old photographs and historical research, the author presents a nostalgic view of Ohio's agricultural past.
