Hands on Reading and Spelling grades 3-6

Hands on Reading and Spelling for grades 3-6 provides students the opportunity to learn reading and spelling through word sorts. The books are designed to be cut apart and are printed on card stock paper. Students are given activities to do and games to play. The book also features a vocabulary building section as well as sequencing activities to enhance reading comprehension. This series allows students to build their own understanding of word constructions, truly giving the student ownership of the concepts. The method has been successful with all students and has shown marked success with reading disabled students.
