One Year: An Invitation to Write

Taking possession of this book could well result in the most conscious year of your life, because it's not a book to simply be read. It's purposely designed to elicit your comments - in writing. Of course you may only read it if you wish; the daily thoughts are entertaining enough for that. But once you encounter the absolutely startling array of Wayne Holland's musings, and his sometimes total disregard for mainstream sensibilities, it's difficult to imagine that you wouldn't want to somehow speak your mind about it. His talent for pure provocation is extraordinary. For example, the entry for March 28 reads, "A man of faith never prays." If you have any religious convictions at all, as most people do, you certainly have something to say about that. And on October 15, we get this to chew on: "Somewhere in the universe our life is always happening." All in all there are 365 daily offerings, a full year's worth, to either deal with, or simply enjoy.
