The Real Rosewood is a historical account of my family's involvement in this 1923 Rosewood, Florida massacre that left people dead, dying and escaping to freedom. My Aunt Mahulda Gussie Brown Carrier was the schoolteacher there from 1915 to 1923. She escaped and I'm telling her story.
