Silent Shouting, Quiet War
Description:
Poetry is drawn from a well deep within the heart and soul of the poet. It is deeply personal. It is the most intimate form of literature. The poetry in this book comes from my heart and soul, but I was not alone in its creation. I was guided, aided and encouraged by many people. It would take another book to thank all, but I would like to recognize a few individuals without whom this work would not have been possible. I am profoundly grateful to:
Betty Thin Elk, mom, you are my inspiration. Vernon Eagle Feather, dad, I miss you. John and Sarah Colombe, who adopted, raised and taught a child to see outside himself. Kit Colombe, my wife who has, somehow, managed to see beyond the frailties and eccentricities of a mad poet. Gary Handler, my good friend. You'll never know how much you've helped! Thanks. Todd Samalin, your equanimity and balance were inspiring. You encouraged my poetry by your friendship. David McCord, my friend and mentor. Your constant encouragement kept the poetry flowing. Gwen Russell-Green, thanks for all the encouragement and those wonderful gatherings.
