Magnetic North: Summers with Extraordinary People

Roberta Neiman shot the photographs forMagnetic North: Summers with Extraordinary People over a five-year period (1970-75), summering with this eclectic group of artists gathered on the far Atlantic coast. The original prints were developed in Cape Breton's saltwater, and many were lost over time. The images inMagnetic North are what remain of an idyllic period of blissful isolation.
