In the tradition of Bright Lights, Big City and Chilly Scenes of Winter, Whatever Happened to Martin Barnett? is the chronicle of a week in the life of an abandoned husband. Bobby Ryan's downward spiral begins when his wife boards a plane for Moracco (or was it Monaco?). He is caught in the middle of a celebrity-crazed, drug-fuzzied Hollywood nightmare and the slew of seediness of the telemarketing business. By the end of the week Bobby finds possible redemption in the form of a 13 year-old run away named Anastasia. And he can finally find out whatever happened to Martin Barnett.
