This fictionalized account follows an Oklahoma boy to war. Through his experiences, you journey with him to manhood and realize the price he personally paid during World War II. - - - - - - - His story opens on a successful sortie bombing Japanese targets, ubt on the way back to his carrier Hornet, his Hellcat fighter runs dry forcing him to put down in the Pacific Ocean. A rescue plane shows up, but capsizes taking off, and our hero spends three nights and four days with two other men floating with a one-man life boat.
