Touching Haiti: A Medical Mission Story

Touching Haiti is the story of an heroic medical mission team that traveled to the most impoverished country in the Western Hemisphere, with 53 duffle bags of medical supplies and good will. Told through the eyes of one of the non-medical members, the narrative begins in February, 2001, when political instability, rampant corruption and unspeakable poverty fanned the flames of civil war. It chronicles the suffering of Haitians, the web of volunteer Samaritans and the all too often door of death they share.

Written to raise awareness for the mission project, the book balances pain with hope, and offers simple solutions in small deeds that remind us of how meaningful all our lives can be.
