The Long Good-bye: A Caregiver's Tale

The thoughts and reactions of a husband as he comes to terms with his wife’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, or FTD. These mini-essays represent a curated selection of the writings he’d been publishing since 2014 in social media. In the beginning, they were simply observations about the natural world of the Texas Hill Country. Gradually, however, his wife’s disease came to occupy center stage; as it did, the essays became the public face of their life.
