Keepers of the Faith provides a behind the scenes look at the players, owners & politics of the Padres & Major League Baseball. In the early 1970s, Dan Diego almost lost its professional baseball team due to a perceived lack of interest. But a group of women fans & the wives of baseball players, having formed a new organization called The Madres, lobbied hard to keep the Padres in America's Finest City. They succeeded & since have been the Padres biggest supporters. Keepers of the Faith is filled with candid & off-the-field shots of the players, their wives & more! Taken primarily from the scrapbooks of the Madres, the Padres archives & the Hall of Champions see rare shots of Dave Winfield, Ozzie Smith, Tony Gwynn, Randy Jones & more.
