Road To Belmont

"Poor children are not stupid, there're just poor" is this book's theme as it asks why US public education fails to teach a majority of inner city children to read and write. In the end, the author exposes how the Los Angles school system knowingly built schools on contaminated land including the Belmont Learning Center, the most expensive education scandal in US history.
