Portraits in Paradise: The Photography of Carolyn and Edwin Gledhill, 1906-1944

Portraits in Paradise presents the work of Carolyn and Edwin Gledhill, photographers and staples of the 20th Century Santa Barbara art and culture community. A catalog that accompanied The Santa Barbara Historical Museum's 2010 exhibit on the Gledhill's, Portraits in Paradise wonderfully captures "many of the notables that contributed to Santa Barbara's vibrant cultural landscape" from 1906-1944, including Upton Sinclair, Ruth Forbes and Diego Rivera. The catalog also includes a foreword by former Executive Director David Bisol, and an introduction by the exhibit's curator.
