As the author moves from childhood to young adult he shares with the readers some of his early experiences as a novice radio announcer, including his hilarious enncounters with a few of the famous people he interviewed on the radio before he moved up to an executive broadcast position and ended his radio career as a vice president of the broadcast division of the Washington Post Company.
