Conversations With the Countess of Castiglione

ARCHIVE's spoken-word CD features four seances with the long-departed Italian aristocrat Virginia Versasis, aka the Countess of Castiglione. Until recently the cache of portraits taken by her lover in the mid-1800s were completely unknown. Once found, they have become noted as the first fashion images in the history of photography.
