Out of the Iron Furnace

A collection of short stories, written and compiled over the past fifty years. The stories are set in the south, and reflect man's struggle against his demons. Many subjects - racism, sexuality and domestic abuse - are explored in these stories. The stories tend to be dark, but the reader gets a sense of the innate strength of the human spirit.
