Love, death, friendship and motorcycles weave in and out of this story of 17 year old Silas, his best friend Frank, and his sometimes girlfriend Sadie. Life on the reserve gets shaken up when Silas' sister, Illianna, brings her new white husband, a lawyer from the city, to a dance at the local hall. Illianna's old flame, Gooch, just released from prison, happens to return that same weekend. The boys act like boys. The girls put up with it for as long as they can. Then one of their friends is murdered, and everything changes forever...
