Prayers, Poems, and Ponderings: Reflections of White House Days

Twenty-seven years ago, I responded to a need in my parish and, without knowing it, responded to God's call to know him better. That began a journey which included teaching in the parish school of religion, starting yearly retreats at White House Retreat, going into spiritual direction, and serving as lector, cantor, and Eucharistic Minister in my parish. My progress on this journey hasnt' always been smooth or steady; however, it has continued.

One of the "fruits" of this journey was teh gift of writing. The Lord blessed me with many prayers, poems, and reflections, mostly written while on retreat at the White House Retreat. I've shared them with friends who told me that some of the entries really touched them. My hope in publishing this book is that it might serve to touch others in special ways, encouraging them in their spiritual journeys.
