Finding Soul in the Afternoon

A woman in her late-sixties and her canine friend, Ginger, take off in a Subaru Outback on a journey across the country -- from California to the east coast and back again -- visiting old friends and family, awakening old memories and relationships, while confronting the myriad challenges of a road trip. It is a story packed with surprises – some soul stirring, others humorous, exasperating, frightening, or from other dimensions altogether. We are treated to Rachel’s heartfelt descriptions of flora and fauna and her unique sense of "place", all set in a historical context as she travels over the American landscape.
