Great Love: The Mary Jo Copeland Story

In the new edition, GREAT LOVE author Michelle Peterson Hinck, gives us an update on the life and work of Mary Jo Copeland. This includes a chapter on Mary Jo's trip to Washington, D.C. to receive the Presidential Citizen's Medal from President Obama. The story also delves into the lives of many of those people who have been lifted up, and set back on their feet to lead fulfilling lives under the guidance found at the transitional shelter affectionately referred to as, “Mary's Place.” Mary Jo Copeland is often referred to as “America's Mother Teresa.” She is undoubtedly a guardian angel to the 20,000 homeless and working poor who cross her threshold at Caring & Sharing Hands each month. GREAT LOVE tells Mary Jo Copeland's story from her difficult childhood, to raising her own family of 12, to her great love for forgotten children, lonely addicts, the abused and homeless. Proceeds from the book will go directly to helping the poor and needy.
