Stakeout (The Script Publishing Project)

Screenwriter Jim Kouf won the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best Motion Picture with this sharply written screenplay about a Seattle detective (Richard Dreyfuss) who falls in love with the woman he's supposed to be watching on a stakeout. Kouf turns the usual standard cop story conventions on their head and accents the tale with some very clever dialogue.
