Living on the Other Side of Fear
Description:
Living on the Other Side of Fear By Hilda Villaverde Living on the Other Side of Fear is the story of the two emotions that exist and rule our lives - fear and love. It is also the story of one woman's remarkable journey from knowing only fear to accepting only love.
Hilda Villaverde tells the story of how she escaped the poverty and fear of her small Arizona mining town, to become a successful mother, wife, entrepreneur, teacher, public speaker, author, and ordained minister.
Living on the Other Side of Fear was written for the millions of people who have experienced terror, pain and disappointments, and through the course of their lives have lost trust in others and themselves.
The story is one of physical, verbal, emotional and mental abuse. The book recounts many traumatic experiences, like the stories of so many families in our society. Families who continue to suffer silently and secretly within their own dysfunctional structure. Eventually, the secrets become their internalized fears, preventing any normal connection with the outside world, or inner connection to a higher power - that which we call God.
The story leads us from a near-death experience to an encounter with an earth-bound ghost, who continues to appear, seen through a child's eyes. Next we are introduced to a guardian angel named Emma, whose existence is resisted and feared. A life-saving event occurs, and we are asked to accept - once more - that there is life after death.
From guardian spirits to guiding lights, the reader also becomes a traveler on this journey, and is carried away on a cosmic adventure. These stories challenge our own fears and spiritual beliefs. They allow us to question and probe within ourselves for the unbelievable and yet attainable.
At the end of each chapter the reader is presented with a Bolt of insight and an affirmation to meditate and use as a tool for Living On The Other Side Of Fear.
