Shay: The Supplement

Designed to supplement Michael Koch's "The Shay Locomotive" and Eric Hirsimaki's "Lima: The History," this book contains deleted, corrected and additional information on more than 1000 of the Shays in Koch's book. Four Shays are documented that are not mentioned at all in Koch; hundreds of sale dates and scrap dates are listed that were missing from Koch. New entries identify each Shay by both the shop (builder) number and Class (18-2, 70-3, etc.). Several hundred new documented owners of Shays are listed by both name and shop number.
