Ned's Journal: The Big and Small Life Adventures of Ned

Ned's Journal, written by mother and daughter co-authors Fan and Elizabeth Brown, combines poetry and journal writing to tell the ups and downs of the life of Ned, a typical, All-American ten year-old. The book includes Ned's entries chronicling his life's intricacies such as dealing with Thor, the school bully, and coping with his kid sister Elizabeth, whose soccer prowess surpasses his own. Ned's Journal also introduces the fundamentals of writing poetry: Ned describes his first brush with Haiku, and learns that alliteration has nothing to do with littering. Ned's Journal is written for boys -- as well as girls -- ages four to 12.
