Description:

Review\nBest book on the subject that I have ever had presented to me... I wish I had this book when my kids were young. -- Doug Miller, book buyer for a major corporation, Throwing and Pitching for Kids 01/01/98\nFreberg deeply believes in teaching budding ballplayers simple yet effective fundamentals for success on the diamond. Given how pitching is such a perennial problem for the Cubs, they could probably use a copy of Fred Freberg's new book. -- Jerry Bonkowski, Chicago's Daily "Southtown Economist," Throwing and Pitching for Kids 01/01/98\nI gave the book to a friend of mine who's son plays in youth baseball. He says it's a "no-brainer." It works and would like it to be the instructional book for his youth baseball organization. -- Jerry Reuss, ex-major league pitching star, L.A. Dodgers, Throwing and Pitching for Kids 01/01/98\nMr. Freberg's book is an excellent guide for baseball. It is easy to read and he touches all of the aspects of throwing a ball. I especially like the fact that he teaches lefties as well as righties. I remember being turned off of some sports because the coaches told me to practice as a rightie. I like the fact that the moves are clearly illustrated both by properly illuminated photos, and by the drawing of a scarecrow to show both the correct positions and the incorrect positions. I would like to see some illustrations with girls as the pitchers as we have our unique throwing styles. Coach Freberg also includes several chapters on health and attitude which really make good sport. I highly recommend this book for all YA collections. -- Colleen Vander Hye, Librarian, Head of Young Adult Services, Acorn Public Library District, Oak Forest, IL, Throwing and Pitching for Kids 01/01/98\nMy seven year old son reads the book and follows the instruction on his own. He's showing me how to pitch now. -- Tom Brennan, ex-major league pitcher, Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox, L.A. Dodgers, Throwing and Pitching for Kids 01/01/98\nFrom the Author\nI've seen kids with limited talent become stars in their youth league because they learned how to pitch with this easy system.
If you practice ten minutes daily the drills and exercises recommended in this book, confidence will grow inside of you faster than a called third strike!\nFrom the Back Cover\nUsing a unique and entertaining style, Fred Freberg has helped improve the throwing and pitching technique of many young ballplayers.
His students have played in the little league world series, the A.A.U. National Championship Series, and Allstar tournaments throughout the U.S.
Now you can learn to throw and pitch from Coach Freberg and have fun doing it. By following the steps of Sammy the Scarecrow and the ballplayers in this book, you will be taking your most important steps to success in youth baseball.
