Three Dissertations on the Teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses

A critical analysis and assessment of three central and related topics concerning Jehovah's Witnesses and the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. The First Dissertation evaluates the authority claimed by the Governing Body associated with the Society in comparison with other members of the organization. The Second Dissertation provides a comprehensive look at the development of Watchtower chronology. The Third Dissertation objectively considers the Society's teachings on the subjects of God's and Jesus' identity, the divine name, uses of blood, and legalism as it is found in many of the Society's practices and teachings. Finally, there is an informative Appendix which considers the Watchtower's teaching concerning the "Gentile Times" and 1914, with consideration to some of the arguments put forth by Carl Olof Jonsson.
