Lake Sacajawea, Longview's Treasure

This pictorial book displays the beauty of a lake built by a lumber baron, Robert A. Long, in the middle of his planned city, Longview, Washington. There are a dozen black and white historical photos plus 72 vivid color photographs that show the lake in all the seasons, starting with the crowds at the Fourth of July celebration. Stunning pictures of the gold of fall leaves are followed by those depicting the bleakness of winter. But life begins anew in the spring with bursts of greens, pinks, and reds caught by photographer Travis Cavens.
