The Hangman

Tells the story of Erik Byrnes, a seemingly ordinary man who joins the SS and quickly rises to its top rankings because of his one flaw--that he follows any order without question or thought, but when he discovers that his wife is of Jewish ancestory he finally questions the workings of the Nazi machine which he helped create
