Raising the Roof: A History of the Buildings and Architecture in the Saugatuck and Douglas Area

The collection of buildings that make up the Saugatuck and Douglas area, are woven together into a unique visual and social fabric, into the threads of which are enmeshed our historical memory. The purpose of the book is to first define and describe what is good about Saugatuck and Douglas architecture and second, to show how "reading" buildings is a way of connecting with our past.
