Lieutenant Mark Hersey: The final Days of Fort Mojave 1887-1890

Lieutenant Mark Hersey, after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1887, recorded his activities, observations, and musings as a newly commissioned second lieutenant assigned to the Ninth Infantry at Fort Mojave, Arizona.
